The gorgeous twilight began with appreciation, love and affection being expressed by the good bye bidders to the outbound batch of Class XII th –ISC (2011-2012) and sincere good luck wishes for the forth coming Board exams to them and to the current ICSE batch.
Cake cutting ceremony, followed by refreshments marked the beginning of the farewell entertainment program conducted by the class XI students. The program revolved around the theme “Glamour World”. The adieu party traversing song and dance sequences, a fashion show, a question answer round and a few games show culminated with the selection of students for the highly prestigious Shigally titles that were duly conferred to all deserving Shigallians, by our school Director Mrs. Manraj Pallan accompanied by the Principal Mrs. K. Jolly. Deep appreciation for the class XI girls for their extra ordinarily thoughtful and caring attitude towards organizing the carefully planned farewell get together, not only for the outgoing class XII students but the entire Shigallian family. The beautiful angels like young ladies were crowned with titles reflecting the traits of their personality.

At the conclusion of the program our much fondly admired Director Mrs. Manraj Pallan enlightened the audience with her perennial thoughts on how precious Shigallians are and what they mean to her. To further encourage and inspire the Board students, our school Principal Mrs. K. Jolly gave a motivational talk on getting fully focused for the forth coming Board exams and value every minute which is drawing them nearer to it. A lavish dinner was served for all. It was felt by everyone present that never ever in the decade old history of shigally a farewell party of this nature was conducted. It was simply ‘awesome’ in true letter and spirit.

Republic Day at Shigally 2012
This year, the program began ceremoniously with the unfurling of the National Tricolour by our Principal, Mrs. K. Jolly, followed by the rendition of the National Anthem. On this day it was felt, one should prize education for itself, and not for any ultimate benefit which may result from it. The Principal in her address stressed and emphasized on the Board students to wholeheartedly devote themselves for the forthcoming Examination.
Finally the program ended with high tea for all. The staff and the students greeted each other on this special day.
